A gallery lives on a screen. An album lives on the coffee table, and gets opened every time family visits.
Every album we make is bound by hand in Melbourne: true layflat pages on 230gsm fine art matte paper, a cover in linen or leather with your names pressed in, and a presentation box to keep it in. Order one whenever you are ready, whoever photographed your wedding.
The albums
Three covers, one album inside: the same paper, the same layflat pages and the same care in each.
On a screen a photo book and a fine art album can look alike. In your hands they are different things.

Fine art albums are usually sold only through a photographer, with their design hours built into the price. We work straight with the bindery and you can lay out the pages yourself, so you pay for the album.
Two ways to design it
The album is the same either way. The only difference is who lays out the pages.

Design it yourself
Our album studio puts your photographs in the order of the day and drafts every spread for you. Change anything you like, turn the pages in the preview, share it with family, then order. We check every page before it goes to print.
Choose your cover and send us your favourite photographs. We lay out every spread, the way we would tell the story of your day, and send you a proof to page through online. Ask for changes on any spread; nothing is printed until you approve it.
Your names and date are pressed into the cover in foil, or blind with no colour at all. These are the bindery's own embossing fonts, drawn here from the fonts themselves.

Printed and bound by hand in Melbourne
Hold your day.
Choose a size and a cover, and see your album take shape.
Once the pages are final, your album is printed and bound by hand in Melbourne and reaches you about three weeks later. If we design it, we start as soon as your photographs reach us and send you a proof first.
Someone else photographed our wedding. Can we still order?
Yes. Upload your photographs in the album studio, or send us a link to the full-size files. When you order you confirm you may print them; most wedding contracts allow printing for personal use, and if yours is unclear, ask your photographer first.
What is a spread?
Two facing pages. Every album includes 10 spreads (20 pages) and can hold up to 45. Because the pages lie flat, one photograph can run across a whole spread.
How many photographs fit in an album?
Most spreads hold one to four photographs, so about three or four for every spread is a good guide: around 80 for a 20-spread album. A few big photographs give the moments that matter room to breathe.
Do we have to design the pages ourselves?
You choose. Lay them out yourself in our album studio, which drafts every spread for you to change, and pay the album price. Or let us design them for $75 more: send your favourites and we send you a proof to page through.
Can we see the album before it is printed?
Yes. The studio turns the pages of your album as the real one will, and you can share a link so family can look through it and leave notes. If we design it, nothing is printed until you approve the proof.
Linen or leather?
Linen is a soft, matte woven cloth with the widest choice of colour. Classic leather has an even, fine grain and takes a blind pressing beautifully. Premium leather is heavier and hand-finished, so every cover carries its own small marks.
Can we order copies for our parents?
Yes. Parent albums are 6 × 6" copies of your album with the same cover and pages, $390 each up to 20 spreads and $490 from 21.
