Our own album studio, made for the albums we bind. It drafts every spread from your photographs, shows you what will print well, turns the pages as the real album will, and sends your design and photographs to us when you order. There is no design fee: you pay the album price.

How the studio works

Five steps from a folder of photographs to an album on its way to you.

Add your photographs
Drag them in from your computer or choose them from your phone. They line up in the order of the day, from getting ready to the last dance, using the time each one was taken.

A first draft, straight away
The studio lays out every spread for you, a few big photographs or many, with your favourites given the room. When there are more photographs than room, near-identical frames from a burst are set aside and the sharpest kept.

Make it yours
Change any layout, drag photographs between frames, move and zoom inside a frame, choose a page colour. A gentle warning appears if a photograph is too small for the size it will print.

Turn the pages
The preview opens the album on its cover and turns each page as the real one will. Share a link so family can look through it and leave a note on any spread.

Order when it is right
Your photographs travel with the design, and we check every page before it goes to print. If anything needs a change, we write to you first.

Questions about the studio

Do we need to install anything?

No. The studio works in your browser, on a computer or a phone. A computer with a mouse makes the fine adjustments easier.

Which photographs should we use?

The full-size files from your gallery: they print best. The studio marks any photograph that is too small for the size it will be printed, so you can give it a smaller frame or choose another.

Where are our photographs kept?

Your album saves itself as you go, and your photographs are kept privately for printing. Only the people you give a link to can see them. We keep them for 12 months after your album is delivered, then delete them.

Can family see the album before we order?

Yes. Share a look-through link and they can turn the pages and leave a note on any spread. Only you can change the album.

Do you check our design before it is printed?

Every page. We look at the photographs, the space around the edges and the colours, and if anything needs a change, we write to you before it goes to print.

Can we change our minds and have you design it?

Yes. Write to us before you order and we design it for $75 more, starting from the photographs you have already chosen.
